For more than 40 years, we’ve been a dedicated, non-hospital, end-of-life care service for patients and their loved ones - around the clock, every day of the year. Our mission is to ensure that anyone can access the best possible expert care whenever and wherever they need it – whether at the hospice or in their own home. As a charity, we only exist because of the generosity and support of our amazing local community.

Prospect Hospice is the leading provider of education and training for end-of-life care in Swindon and north Wiltshire. Working closely with you, our colleagues within partner organisations, we want to ensure that the very best care is available to everyone facing the end of life. Big Swim Challenge 2024

Following the success of last year’s first ever Prospect Hospice Big Swim challenge, we’re bringing it back in August and we want you to make a splash.
Join us for this 1km open water swimming challenge at the beautiful Bowmoor Lake in Lechlade and help fund our care and support to local people at the end of their life.

This event is open to swimmers of all levels, whether you’re an experienced open water swimmer or a beginner looking to take on a new challenge.
Olympic Medal swimmer, Cassie Patten, will once again be the host and will share her tips and experience throughout the day.
A team of experienced event organizers will be on hand to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely. All the necessary safety equipment, including buoyancy aids and safety boats will be provided, and there will be a team of trained lifeguards stationed throughout the course.
