Description of role:
Our eBay listing volunteers create the listings for preloved items that are donated to us from the local community and may sell for a higher value than they could in one of our shops. Knowing that we’ve found a treasure is the exciting part. You’ll then list it and hopefully it will being much needed funds to the hospice. As an eBay Listing volunteer, you’ll be an important ambassador for Prospect Hospice.
Role responsibilities:
You’ll prepare the items for listing by ensuring they look their best ready for you to photograph. Having already researched the item using the online analysis tools, you’ll draft appealing, accurate and clear listing descriptions using our listing tool, which will then be uploaded to the online sites eBay and Gumtree. Don’t worry if you haven’t used this before, we will give you full training! There are ways of writing the listings that often make them more appealing, and we can show you how to do that. You will need to be confident in using a computer, and if you’re already a keen seller on online marketplaces, that would be a real advantage.
Everyone at Prospect Hospice works to a set of core values – we are authentic, specialist, person-centred, inclusive, resilient and pursue excellence.
How we bring our values to life everyday:
Keeping you safe:
