By registering for the Prospect Hospice Spring Run, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

• We ask that everyone is sponsored in aid of Prospect Hospice, with a minimum fundraising target of £100 to help support our services.
• If there are places left available on the run, participants can register on the morning of the run for a fee of £50. This covers the registration fee and funds in lieu of sponsorship.
• Participants in this activity do so entirely at their own risk and must rely on their own ability in dealing with all hazards and must cover the route in a manner which is safe to themselves and others. Neither Prospect Hospice, its directors/trustees, staff or volunteers, the venue and its staff or anyone else involved in or with the organisation of the event shall be held responsible for any accident or injuries or other loss sustained by you before, during or after the challenge.
• Participants will be supported and guided by volunteer marshals on the route and all runners/walkers should respond to their instruction and direction when given for their safety.
• The terrain is mixed to include some rough track, grass and woodland areas and conditions will be weather dependant so participants should expect to dress accordingly with appropriate footwear and clothing. There are lakes and ponds and other hazards so participants must follow the route and marshal directions at all times.
• All participants must behave responsibly and any behaviour deemed unacceptable may result in removal from the challenge.
• For the purposes of safety, the minimum age for participants in the 10k and 5k is 15 years old; any child under the age of 18 must have emailed consent from an adult parent/guardian to the organisers to confirm they can take part on their own, at the time of registration.
• Both 10k and 5k distances are chip timed by DB Max. Running numbers with the chip attached can be collected at the registration desk on the day. Participants are solely responsible for the safe keeping and correct use of their chip in order to successfully receive their race times. Race times are available two hours after the event.
• Whilst this is a closed route without vehicle traffic, it is recommended participants do not wear headphones whilst running. If the participant chooses to wear head phones these must be bone conduction and low volume or with one ear free and with the volume low so that marshal instructions and directions can be heard at all times.
• No alcohol is to be consumed prior to or during the challenge.
• Please note that any photography and filming uploaded to the designated social media pages may be used for current and future publicity purposes, unless you have not given the charity permission at the related stage of registration or we have received direct correspondence from you thereafter to withdraw your permissions.
• You must adhere to any current government social distancing guidelines regarding Covid-19. The Government may potentially change this guidance and you are responsible for keeping yourself updated on the advice.
• Dogs are permitted at the park with spectators but are not permitted to take part in the 10k and 5k run. Dogs can take part in the 2.5k fun run provided they are able and comfortable throughout. Dogs must be kept under control at all times and cleaned up for. Prospect Hospice does not take responsibility for the safety of the dog and it is the dog owner’s responsibility to supervise the dog with safety and care for at all times.
• Registrations are strictly personal, firm and binding and fees shall not be refunded for any reason.
• Cancellation is unlikely and the organisers will take all precautions to avoid it, but should cancellation occur for reasons out of the organisers control, then participants will be notified as soon as possible.
• Should part of the route be unavailable for safety reasons or reasons out of the organisers control, the organisers reserve the right to adjust the route or cancel where absolutely necessary.
• By entering the Prospect Hospice Spring Run , you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and confirmed that you are medically fit to participate.
• Questions should be directed to the Prospect Hospice fundraising team via 01973 816161 or fundraisingandevents@prospect-hospice.net
