For more than 40 years, we’ve been a dedicated, non-hospital, end-of-life care service for patients and their loved ones - around the clock, every day of the year. Our mission is to ensure that anyone can access the best possible expert care whenever and wherever they need it – whether at the hospice or in their own home. As a charity, we only exist because of the generosity and support of our amazing local community.

We couldn’t do what we do without considerable support from our local community. Prospect Hospice is the leading provider of education and training for end-of-life care in Swindon and north Wiltshire. Working closely with you, our colleagues within partner organisations, we want to ensure that the very best care is available to everyone facing the end of life. This is why we provide education and development opportunities, all of which aim to encourage learning and build confidence in end of life care and support.
Marvel at the land of the northern lights
Challenge yourself on this 40km trek in magical Iceland, one of the best places in the world to catch the northern lights, from 16 to 20 March 2024.
See the awe-inspiring southern coast, navigate through fields of geothermal activity with their bubbling mud pools, dip in the naturally hot springs in the magical valley of Solfataras and Reykjadlur, and reward yourself with the stunning views from the highest point in the Hengill Heritage site.
You’ll hike along the fault line that divides America and Europe in the National Park of Thingvellir – the only place in the world you can stand between two continental plates with its breathtaking geological landscape. Our team will be by your side while you help raise vital funds to support the hospice’s outstanding care of local people at the end of their lives.

How much do I need to raise?
Each participant is asked to pay a registration fee of £390 when they sign up to the challenge via the link below. In addition to this, as it is a fundraising challenge for the hospice, each participant is asked to raise a minimum of £2,990 in sponsorship. You’re not on your own though – our friendly and dedicated fundraising team is here to help you every step of the way with support and advice on how to maximise your fundraising.
