The school holidays are here and many parents and carers are understandably concerned about the financial impact of having their children at home every day, especially those who budget around their children having free school meals during the week. Fortunately, a local hospice is offering a ‘Kids eat for £1’ deal throughout August.
As part of the initiative, children under 16 will be able to get a hot or cold meal for just £1 with every adult main meal purchased in Prospect Hospice’s Heart of the Hospice café.
“We wanted to create an opportunity for families to come together and share a wonderful meal without breaking the bank. It’s not just about the food, it’s about giving back,” explains Carl Golding, head of catering at Prospect Hospice. “Our hospice has been fortunate to have unwavering support from our incredible community. This summer offer is our way of saying thank you and giving something back to the wonderful people who make our work possible.”
With a menu that caters to every palate – from hearty classics to light and refreshing options – there’s something for everyone.
So, why not treat your taste buds and your wallet this summer? The Heart of the Hospice café in Wroughton is open Monday to Saturday from 11.30am to 2pm.
