Steer how we raise vital fund to offer outstanding care
Prospect Hospice is an ‘Outstanding’ provider of end-of-life care in Wiltshire, supporting over 1,700 patients and their families each year. We deliver excellent, personalised and compassionate care for everyone affected by a life-limiting illness, providing a broad range of services with our nurses, doctors and therapists supporting patients at our hospice in Wroughton, and in their own homes and care homes. We raise over £8m annually, three quarters of which comes from our very generous community via our fundraising, retail and lottery teams, with the balance from our supportive NHS partners.
We have been on a mission to improve the quality of our services over the last few years and have been successfully awarded the highest ‘Outstanding’ grade by the Care Quality Commission.
This strong foundation of high-quality care enables us to focus now on our growth and sustainability. We have created a new post of director of income generation to lead our fundraising, retail and lottery teams, and to develop and implement a sustainable income strategy that will enable us to continue and expand our services.
As the director of income generation, you will report to our new chief executive as a member of our executive team. Key responsibilities will include:
To succeed, you will need to bring significant experience of fundraising in the charity sector, with a proven track record of delivering growth and diversification. We are looking for strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams across different disciplines and locations. As a director, you will work as part of a collaborative leadership team and will share a commitment to the vision, mission and values of Prospect Hospice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior fundraising professional to broaden their leadership experience and join a much-loved community charity with significant potential for growth and development across their portfolio of responsibility.
