A specialist programme for Health Care Assistants designed to instil excellence of practice, continuous professional development, and pride in contributing to end-of-life care.

Aims of the programme:

  • To support HCAs in role and build resilience
  • To develop excellence in end of life care
  • To ensure safe working practice
  • To encourage reflective practice
  • To place the patient at the heart of our learning and care

Module 1 –  Introduction to End of Life Care/Study Skills

Module 2 – The role of the HCA

Module 3 – Building resilience

Module 4 – Patient care and safe practice

Module 5 – Working with diverse needs

Module 6 – Communication and listening skills

The programme is delivered over two full days.

  • Wednesday 5th February ’25 & Wednesday 26th February ’25
  • Tuesday 8th April ’25 & Tuesday 29th April ’25

All attendees who complete the programme will receive a Palliative Care Assistant lapel badge confirming they have completed the Bluebell Aspire programme.
