For more than 40 years, we’ve been a dedicated, non-hospital, end-of-life care service for patients and their loved ones - around the clock, every day of the year. Our mission is to ensure that anyone can access the best possible expert care whenever and wherever they need it – whether at the hospice or in their own home. As a charity, we only exist because of the generosity and support of our amazing local community.

We couldn’t do what we do without considerable support from our local community. Prospect Hospice is the leading provider of education and training for end-of-life care in Swindon and north Wiltshire. Working closely with you, our colleagues within partner organisations, we want to ensure that the very best care is available to everyone facing the end of life. This is why we provide education and development opportunities, all of which aim to encourage learning and build confidence in end of life care and support.
Local musician Clarry Bean will be releasing a Christmas single on 7 December to raise funds for Prospect Hospice and Vasculitis UK, in memory of his wife, Christine, who died at the hospice in December last year. We are hugely grateful that Clarry has chosen us to benefit from the release of the single, and he also invited staff from Prospect Hospice, including members of the team who cared for Christine to the launch event last Sunday.
The event was a huge success, attended by close to 200 people, at which many people heard Clarry’s song, Christmas (The Way It’s Meant To Be) for the first time. “It was a lovely evening for everyone who knew and loved Christine to come together to honour her and for the official video and track to be seen and heard,” said Hollie Ricketts, our Community Fundraiser who attended.
After the evening the Bean family released the official video to promote the single onto their website, which you can watch here. Clarry and daughter Abby will also be performing the single live at our Light up a Life service on 2 December, where the CD single will also be on sale.
