For more than 40 years, we’ve been a dedicated, non-hospital, end-of-life care service for patients and their loved ones - around the clock, every day of the year. Our mission is to ensure that anyone can access the best possible expert care whenever and wherever they need it – whether at the hospice or in their own home. As a charity, we only exist because of the generosity and support of our amazing local community.

We couldn’t do what we do without considerable support from our local community. Our café sits at the heart of our hospice in Wroughton and serves a range of delicious home cooked meals to suit all tastes. Whether you're looking to catch up with friends over lunch or relax with coffee and cake, our Heart of the Hospice café has you covered.

Prospect Hospice is the leading provider of education and training for end-of-life care in Swindon and north Wiltshire. Working closely with you, our colleagues within partner organisations, we want to ensure that the very best care is available to everyone facing the end of life. This is why we provide education and development opportunities, all of which aim to encourage learning and build confidence in end of life care and support.
Turning your unwanted items into vital end of life care for local people
Our shops will be pleased to accept donations of pre-loved goods but, before donating, please check our list below for items that we can accept. If you have a large number of items to donate, we recommend contacting the shop you will be donating to to check that they have the room to accept this as we have limited storage facilities at a number of our shops. For the contact details and opening times of all our shops, please click here.
Please do not leave donations outside of our shops as this could be classed as fly-tipping. These donations can not be sold to raise money for the hospice and we have to pay for these donations to be removed.
For larger furniture items please email vanbookings@prospect-hospice.net with your name, contact number, full address and postcode along with photos of the items including attached fire labels. Alternatively, you can call our distribution centre on 01793 813362 to leave a message with your name and number and we will try contact you within two working days (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays) to arrange viewing and collection.
Please note that we are currently unable to accept donations at our distribution centre in Wroughton.

Did you know that by adding Gift Aid, your donations are worth 25% more to Prospect Hospice?
If you sign up in one of our shops, it only takes two minutes and costs you nothing.
Gift Aid is a scheme run by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) that means charities like Prospect Hospice can reclaim the tax on your donations at no extra cost to you so, if your donations sell for £10, we will actually receive £12.50.
You must be a current UK taxpayer, but this is not limited to tax on earnings. You only need to have paid as much in tax as Prospect Hospice will reclaim on your donations.
Fill in a form in any of our shops, or ask our van driver when you are donating items of furniture to us. Rest assured, we will never share your details with third parties.
