Have you ever wondered if affordable furniture could change lives? Prospect Hospice certainly believes so, and the charity is proving it with the grand opening of a new furniture shop. Located in Hobley Drive, Prospect Hospice’s Home & Furniture Store opened its doors at 10am on Monday 29 July.

The new shop offers a wide selection of pre-loved furniture and homeware, from elegant dining sets to cosy sofas and everything in between. With a focus on sustainability and affordability, customers can find high-quality items for their home while supporting the charity.

In total, the hospice has 18 charity shops across Swindon and northeast Wiltshire, which make a big financial difference to the local charity, raising around £2 million each year to help the care and support it provides to people in the local community.

Victoria Canavan, head of retail at Prospect Hospice said: “This is a very exciting time for the hospice, and we’re so happy to able to offer our customers an impressive range of furniture and homeware at great prices. There’s something for everyone and every purchase will help our doctors, nurses, family support and catering staff provide care and support to local people at the most difficult time.”

“I’d also like to thank our supporters for all the incredible donations that we have received over the last few months. Their generosity is second to none and we couldn’t do what we do without them.”

The grand opening on Monday 29 July was a celebration of community and a chance for shoppers to discover the pre-loved gems within.

Whether you’re searching for that statement piece to complete your living room or simply want to browse and support a local charity, the Prospect Hospice Furniture & Home Store welcomes all.

You can visit the store at Unit T8, Hobley Dr, Swindon, SN3 4NS and it’s open Monday to Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday 11am to 5pm.
