About the course

Volunteers play an extremely important role in not-for-profit organisations such as charities. With this in mind, this course will help you to manage your volunteers effectively, to harness their skills and experience, ensuring they feel safe, supported, rewarded and valued.

By the end of this course you will:

• Have increased understanding of the factors that contribute to successful volunteer involvement
• Have considered what needs to be included in an effective volunteer induction
• Understand how to motivate, enthuse and maximise commitment from your volunteers
• Understand how to keep volunteers on-track and how to address issues before they become problems
• Understand your responsibilities to support volunteers to work in a way that is physically, emotionally and psychologically safe
